Presence in the Netherlands and Europe
AnyLogistix is part of The AnyLogic Company (US/EU). There is no known office in the Netherlands or Amsterdam , but the company has an important European presence. The headquarters in Europe are located in France (Avon-Fontainebleau), anylogic.com, and recently the office in Lisbon (Portugal) has been significantly expanded to accommodate more developers and support teams anylogistix.com, anylogic.com. The AnyLogic Company also works with local partners across Europe (e.g. SimPlan in Germany, Decision Lab in the UK, consulting firms in Italy, Finland, etc.) anylogic.com. Through these partner networks and events, AnyLogistix actively focuses on the European market – although no specific business address is known in the Netherlands, Dutch companies can use the platform through these channels.
Size of the business
The AnyLogic Company, producer of AnyLogistix, reports approximately 213 employees and a turnover of around $23.4 million (2025). The software is used by “thousands” of organizations, including more than 40% of Fortune 100 companies. Concrete figures for the Netherlands or Europe individually have not been made public, but thanks to the growing European footprint (new Lisbon office, European partners), an increase in the customer base in this region is expected.
Customers and sectors
AnyLogistix is used internationally in a variety of industries. Some publicly known examples are:
- Consumer Goods (Food/Beverages): Coca-Cola İçecek (Turkey) anylogistix.com and Bonafont/Danone Waters (Mexico) anylogistix.com use AnyLogistix for network optimization and capacity planning.
- Industrial Manufacturing/Chemicals: ICP Group (USA, Coatings & Adhesives) has partnered with consultants to create a digital twin for cost and network analysis anylogistix.com. Also a major North American paper and pulp producer realized a fully automated transport planning with AnyLogistix anylogistix.com through a consultancy (SimWell).
- Pharmaceuticals: A French pharmaceutical company uses AnyLogistix for end-to-end supply chain optimization around a global product launch anylogistix.com. Various scenarios (inventory, demand fluctuations, production growth) are simulated.
- Dairy industry: A major Italian dairy producer has partnered with Asset Consulting to build a digital twin to evaluate CO₂ emissions and costs in various sustainability scenarios anylogistix.com. AnyLogistix analytics helped reduce CO₂ emissions while increasing profitability.
- Partners and consultancy: Many clients work through specialized consulting firms (Phoenix Analytics, SimWell, Asset Consulting, Minerva Consulting and others) that use AnyLogistix in projects. These partners serve industries ranging from logistics to production and retail. In the Netherlands, no specific customer names have been publicly mentioned, but similar companies in Europe can use AnyLogistix through its international partner network.
Software Platform: Features and Modules
AnyLogistix is a complete supply chain design and analysis tool with the following core features:
- Network Design and Optimization: Supports Greenfield analysis and multi-echelon network planning. The platform uses IBM CPLEX to mathematically optimize plant and warehouse locations, production capacities, and transportation configurations com. Master planning by time period (S&OP-like) is included to plan production and capacity anylogistix.com.
- What-if scenario simulation: Let users create detailed simulation models of the supply chain network. This allows dynamic factors and disruptions to be simulated – for example, time-dependent deliveries, inventory cycles and unknown events. Optimization results can be converted into a detailed simulation model anylogistix.com with a single click, allowing for analysis of lead times, bottlenecks, and inventory risks.
- Risk management and digital twin: The platform can simulate random failures (e.g., distribution center outages or traffic incidents) to test supply chain resiliency com. AnyLogistix facilitates the creation of a supply chain digital twin: a virtual model that is able to process real-time data and perform complex what-if analyses anylogistix.com. In this way, policy choices can be assessed under various disruptions before they are implemented in practice.
- Inventory optimization: Unique to AnyLogistix is the use of simulation for inventory planning. The platform can calculate realistic inventory levels and safety stocks by simulating variability in supply and demand com. A safety stock estimation experiment balances service levels against costs, taking into account real randomness in the simulation anylogistix.com.
- Transportation and Distribution Planning: Provides built-in experiments for transportation optimization. For example, determining optimal routes, modalities (own fleet versus external transport) and fleet mix to minimize costs and emissions org. This module links logistical details to the large-scale network level.
- Statistics and visualization: AnyLogistix includes flexible KPI analysis and dashboards com. During simulations, all kinds of metrics (cost, service level, Bullwhip effect, capacity, etc.) can be made measurable and presented transparently with map animations. This helps stakeholders interpret the results.
Technology and integrations
The AnyLogistix platform is modular. The Professional Server runs a combination of simulation routines and a database on a server (on-premise or cloud) anylogistix.com. Through a web-based interface and open API, users can start experiments and manage data anylogistix.com. The open API and scripting (Java/Python) enable integration with external tools: for example , Power BI, Tableau or your own ERP systems. AnyLogistix can communicate directly with ERP/MRP/WMS systems to load up-to-date business data anylogistix.com. For example, inventories, production volumes and delivery times in the digital twin are fed with real-time figures, which supports continuous scenario analyses and automated reports anylogistix.com, anylogistix.com. This architecture design – compute engines plus database, with a web UI and API – ensures scalability, collaboration, and connection to existing IT systems anylogistix.com, anylogistix.com.
Positioning in relation to competitors
AnyLogistix operates in the field of supply chain planning and optimization, alongside players such as Coupa/LLamasoft, Kinaxis and John Galt. Short:
- Coupa (LLamasoft): focuses on end-to-end network design with a strong emphasis on AI and a full-chain digital twin org. The system (now part of Coupa) positions itself as an AI-driven platform for smart supply chain decisions.
- Kinaxis (RapidResponse, Maestro): is a cloud-based IBP/S&OP platform that combines concurrent planning and AIorg. It promises real-time visibility of supply and demand and rapid coordination, but places less emphasis on simulation of discrete events.
- John Galt Solutions: (Demand Command, Atlas) traditionally focuses on demand forecasting and S&OP (demand planning, forecast accuracy) for manufacturing companies. It is primarily a forecasting and planning suite, not a network analysis or simulation platform.
- AnyLogistix: distinguishes itself by the integration of mathematical optimization with stochastic simulation orgaimms.com. It emphasizes scenario and risk analysis through a digital twin. In a comparative analysis, AnyLogistix is positioned as the supplier for whom “stochastic simulation” is the most important starting point aimms.com. In particular, the combination of simulation models (AnyLogic engine) and CPLEX-based optimization makes AnyLogistix unique. This is suitable for organizations that place a high value on what-if modeling and deep (visual) analyses of network design, rather than just fixed planning solutions.
